County Care’s Project Radio
Project Radio is part of the community skills project delivered by County Care working with adults with learning disabilities and mental health.
Our training programme delivered within our Radio Studios help build confidence, communication skills, technical skills, computer software and being part of the local community.
The key elements of this programme is being live on the radio or pre-record shows which can consist of music, talk shows discussing anything from sport, health, current affairs, politics and news to name a few.
We also go out in the community carrying out research, meetings with local business to discuss advertising opportunities, building up relationships with up and coming local artists and delivering live shows at festivals and carnivals.
We have studios in our community hubs based in Surrey – Knaphill, Fetcham, Horley and in Lincolnshire – Skegness and Holbeach.
We work with adults with learning disabilities, learning challenges and mental health issues.
